It was a sweet opportunity to meet Michelle Malkin at Right Online in Pittsburgh this month. I could not pass up the chance to bring up the most recent manifestation of the DC Obamanation. If the Cloward-Piven strategy is truly the tool of their economic trade, then going Galt would be in line with the White House goals. Michelle did not seem to be dissuaded by this notion that the Galt movement could be feeding the desired effect of economic collapse. It is a dilemma I have been perusing since the February article. The recent development of town hall and tea party spunk is the encouraging fact that organization of the conservative movement is crucial in the preservation of our precious freedom, while attempting to hamper this spooky oppression machine called the Obama administration. In other words, we are building up as we tear down. Michelle's most eloquent way of saying it was clear and succinct. Proceed with caution because the concern is valid, but take heart, the people are on the move. (not a quote, by any stretch) God help us. May we surround them.

To clarify, our motive for going Galt is economic in nature. We are minimizing the tax base in order to "drain the swamp"; that's Reaganese for starving DC. Join us, won't you?

It is indeed a victory for the producers. Paychex billionaire leaving New York for a less taxing state is the news from May 20th, Michelle Malkin. Hallelujah! The catch is that the feds will still get their grubby fat fingers on the loot. In the meantime, New York is learning a hard lesson, the hard way.

Taxes have not gone up YET. My favorite sign at the Pittsburgh Tea Party on April 11th was, "If you think health care is expensive now, wait til it's free!" Someone, many someones, will pay for the Obamanation. Sorry, just the facts. So many links, so little time. Michelle Malkin had a second article on March 10th, about the Galt Movement. Eventually, I will have a nice gathering of articles, one at a time. If you haven't got the patience, Michelle Malkin does this for a living.

Real Clear Politics offered this article from Michelle Malkin on March 9th. I think it is the same as a previous link, but for any newbies, have at it. But WAIT! THERE'S MORE! I was so torn about going to our noontime Tea Party because I, uh, have a job. Am I being hypocritical to not just GO GALT and skip the job for the sake of my country? But the good ole work ethic prevailed.
What the elite do not realize is that anyone paying attention to what is happening in DC and in our states are the very ones with dynamic work ethics. Thus the point of the Galt Movement, if and when it picks up speed. These people will be sorely missed because they are the thinkers, the movers and shakers. They are the creative producers. What politicians and other elitists do not understand is that we the people ARE THE COUNTRY. If Ayn Rand was even close to right, a Galt Movement will be felt. "I didn't know about it", which is what President Obama said about the Tea Parties on April 15th, won't be a viable option. HE WILL KNOW. Dear Nancy Pelosi will not be able to say, "It was an astro-turf-down movement" because where it came from won't matter. She won't know what hit her.

The Opinionator (NY Times) commentor, Hank Rearden - like, has some regard for such falderal. After all, people are out there writing their Congressman, threathening not to pay their taxes and others are STILL clinging to their guns! (Like us)
Of course, the idea of going Galt is OUT THERE. These are OUT THERE times. What can you do to help give President BHO what he wants? (that is, a failing system and a society of beggars) How can you help shrink production?
Christian Exodus has been applying Galt-like ideas for years. Ve have vays. Check it out. People are talking.
Honest hangups: a small business cannot afford to pay rent while temporarily shutting down for lower taxation (under $250,000). Communities could support the business owner by donating rent fees so that the business would not have to permanently close its doors. It IS doable if we gather together and SURROUND THEM!

Laura, at Pursuing Holiness, is going on strike as of February 11th. Like so many of us, she has had enough. I learned of this idea from Michelle Malkin's March 4th article at Townhall.com with the typical catchy phrase, Malkin style, "wealth distributors vs wealth redistributors". Enough, indeed! Quinn and Rose at the War Room, hardhitting talk show hosts on XM Satellite Radio, channel 158, 6am to 10am EST, actually read the article one morning. This may seem like a last resort sort of idea but you know what, I'm not so sure we're not there. Keep it alive...toss it around, pass it around cause this merry-go-round ain't stoppin. Those arrogant operators in capital cities all over this country are showing no signs of letting us off.

BTW, March 27th is planned as a digital march on Washington with massive emails, phone and faxes to home and DC offices. Content? TEA PARTY! No More Spending. No Tax Increase. Send pictures of the Boston original Party or the tag off of a tea bag if you're going snail mail. It's time to bombard them. My only problem with this idea from The 912 Project is that it is only one day and more of the same. Patti Ann Browne brought up to Glenn Beck on his TV show, we don't think "they" read them. Even if they do, minds are rarely changed. Marches on the mall seem to have little effect. Thus, GOING GALT. Ah well, gotta start somewhere. Join us next Friday!

It's a movement...I hope. Coined by Dr. Helen, picked up by Michelle Malkin. Creatively, you stop contributing to the economic system which is upholding an oppressive government and incompetency in general. I hope to post links to what people are doing to pull back. Dr. Helen, for instance, plans to close the shutters on her business prior to entering the upcoming Obama increase tax bracket, you know, the one that keeps getting lowered. There might be little we can do to work the system but ve have vays of hurting it. Drastic? OH, YES.
